This is a blog about living ethically in the kitchen and garden.
After reading food blogs for years, I started to reflect that few blogs engaged actively with the politics of consumption. I aim to do that here, while also sharing recipes, ideas and inspiration from the kitchen and garden. The title is inspired by Aldo Leopold's land ethic, in A Sand County Almanac.
Feel free to leave a comment or send me an email. It's always lovely to hear from other folks interested in thinking about the ethics of home cooking! (P.S. If you want to leave a comment on a post, you need to click on the name of the post and the comments will appear at the bottom.)
The blog is written by Leah, an academic. She is by birth and by soul Canadian, but currently lives in Santa Barbara, CA, by way of Cambridge, MA. She can be reached at theedibleethic AT gmail.com.
